[ when shiro's troubled expression doesn't fade entirely, keith's own smile falters slightly. it doesn't go away entirely, but when the desire to give shiro's shoulder a reassuring squeeze to lift his spirits rises up keith has to wonder whether that's a good idea or not. a beat later, he can't help scowling a little. he's never shied away from reaching out to shiro that way before and he's not going to let some fucking powder start changing that now. ]
