[ of course keith isnt being fair to either of them by barricading the conversation behind a simple good and moving on from there, but he feels so rewarded when shiro softens up and actually laughs. for everything they've seen and been through over the years, together and apart, it makes him happy to think that making shiro laugh can always be this simple.
or well, maybe it's not so simple because the power to induce affection with demands for kisses is still new enough to make keith feel a little giddy when he allows it. keith's own expression relaxes then, smile broadening as shiro cages him in with his arms and leans down for the kiss.
